Bar stools for your home bar

If you’re deciding to purchase bar stools for your home bar, buffet or kitchen island, the many options can be overwhelming.  From plain wooden designs to sophisticated stainless steel stools, the varieties are nearly endless.  Here are some things that purchasers sometimes forget to consider when buying bar stools.  Some bar stools look great in a catalogue but when seen in person, they simply don’t live up to their pictures.  This may be due to low quality materials that aren’t apparent in an image of the product.  Also, the color, size and proportions may not be apparent in picture.  A great way to avoid making the wrong purchase from a catalogue is to see a picture of the product in a setting it could be used in.  Ask the seller if they have any promotional materials that give you a view of the product in a home setting.  This can also give you some great design ideas for the space you’ll be putting your bar stools.  Another pitfall buyers encounter is being lured into a purchase by cheap prices.  What may seem like a good purchase initially can land you with uncomfortable, rickety bar stools that begin to fall apart almost immediately.  So, as you consider price, also consider the materials used and the construction of the bar stools you’re looking at.  If you keep these few things in mind, you should end up with great looking bar stools you will have for many years.
